Connect Shopify to GeoCopy
GeoCopy publishes to your Shopify Online Store blog (articles under Blog posts in Shopify Admin), not to product pages.
Before you start
- You need permission to install apps on the store (store owner or staff with the right access).
- Create at least one blog under Online Store → Blog posts if your store does not have one yet.
Connect in GeoCopy
- Open Portal → Integrations → Shopify and click Connect.
- Enter your shop domain. Any of these work:
your-store.myshopify.comyour-store(we add.myshopify.com)- Your custom storefront domain (e.g.
shop.yourbrand.com) - Admin URL:
admin.shopify.com/store/your-store
- Click Connect with Shopify.
- In Shopify Admin, review the permissions and click Install (or Approve).
- If your store has more than one blog, choose which blog GeoCopy should publish to, then click Finish Shopify setup.
- When the integration card shows Connected, you can publish articles to that store.
After you connect
- Open Integrations → Shopify → Settings to change the target blog or publishing options.
- GeoCopy keeps access in the background so scheduled and approved articles can publish without you staying logged in.
Using GeoCopy inside Shopify Admin
If you installed GeoCopy from the Shopify App Store, you can also open GeoCopy from Shopify Admin → Apps → GeoCopy. The same store connection applies . you do not need to connect twice.
Revoke access
- GeoCopy: Integrations → Shopify → Disconnect
- Shopify: Settings → Apps and sales channels → GeoCopy → Uninstall
Troubleshooting
- Unauthorized Access in Shopify: Log into the correct store in Shopify Admin (not only the Partner Dashboard). You must be allowed to install apps on that store.
- Could not resolve domain: Use
your-store.myshopify.comdirectly, or open your store in Shopify Admin and copy the store handle from the URL. - No blogs in the picker: Add a blog under Online Store → Blog posts, then reconnect.
- 401 on publish: Disconnect and connect again to refresh access.
- Featured image missing: Reconnect the store. If upload still fails, GeoCopy may fall back to linking the image URL in the article body.
