Connect Google Search Console
GeoCopy connects to Google Search Console with read-only access. You see clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position for the last 28 days on Reports → Search. GeoCopy never modifies your Search Console data or site settings.
Permissions
GeoCopy requests the webmasters.readonly OAuth scope only. That allows listing properties and reading search analytics. GeoCopy does not request write access.
Connect
- Open Portal → Integrations and find Google Search Console under Analytics.
- Click Connect with Google and sign in with the Google account that has access to your site in Search Console.
- Approve read-only access when Google asks for permission.
- Alternatively, open Reports → Search and use the connect prompt there.
Choose a property
After OAuth, GeoCopy shows a list of Search Console properties on your account. Pick the property that matches your connected publishing site (for example https://example.com/ or a domain property). Metrics in Reports apply to that property only.
Where to view data
Open Reports → Search for:
- Site-wide clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position (last 28 days)
- Top queries and top pages
- GeoCopy article contribution metrics when articles are published with live URLs
Sync
GeoCopy syncs Search Console data on a daily schedule and when you first connect or select a property. The first sync after connecting can take a minute; refresh Reports if metrics are still loading.
Troubleshooting
- Property not listed — verify the site in Google Search Console with the same Google account you used to connect.
- Wrong metrics — reconnect and choose the correct property URL or domain in the property picker.
- OAuth denied or failed — try again from Integrations; ensure pop-ups are not blocked and you approve all requested permissions.
- Reconnect — disconnect from Integrations and connect again, or use Reports → Search to change the selected property.
